Well, things have been a little busy as some of you have noticed…
StandingStone has finally gotten ourselves some new offices. We’re psyched about the place but it’s a lot of work. Basically it’s the first floor of an old house and it’s got everything we need. A front room for a greeting area and lounge, 2 offices and a good sized conference room. The kitchen area leaves a little bit to be desired, but you can ask for everything. There’s also a huge porch that’ll be great for taking a laptop outside and working. We’re right on main street in the bustling metropolis of East Greenville PA and have a great coffee shop right across the street, so what more could you ask for! (well ok, a bar next to the coffee shop would be nice, but I think we’ll survive).
So here’s the fun part. The place is, to put it nicely, in need of some work. We signed the lease on tuesday and have spent the past two nights tearing out the ceiling tiles and scraping paint. We’ll likely need to put in a couple weeks worth of work to get it into move in condition so we’ll be doing double duty for the next couple of weeks. I took some “before” photos last night so you can see how it looks now. Oh, and yeah, the fireplace is some prefab job from the ’60s that a. looks horrible and be is heavier than it is ugly, so a few of us will be hunched over after moving that thing out of there…
The Feng Shui is all wrong. Bad energy.

I noticed a pre-cast fireplace in the one photo. I would like to purchase said fireplace for, um, let say $50,000. How ’bout it?

well the good news is that I can dump all my used motor oil and anti-freeze in the basement with out being seen – gotta love those old dirt floor basements.

I was going to recommend dumping all of your waste(Miller lite cans, half eaten Subway,etc.) behind the drywall. You know like what real construction workers do. Speaking of pigeons…
